You're an eyesore. Disappear.
Justin Wong smashed the other American competitors to be the U.S. National champ of SF4. He then played a set of exhibition matches against Poongko (Top Korean player), Iyo (Won Japanese National Tournament) and Diago (The Beast). I shouldn't really need to say who won said exhibition tournament, should be clear. Anyway, all the videos are up and the Iyo vs. Diago and Poongko vs. Wong matches are top-notch shit. Red Cyclone strikes again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65S_j_SwI9Q1:26 is the epic part, but the whole thing is worthwhile to kill 90 seconds. If he could do that on the SF2T:HD version with the hard inputs, I can't imagine what kind of ragequit inducing insanity he could unleash on the XBOX live servers of SF4. Sadness is a dejection of the soul and is constituted from thoughts of anger, for irascibility is a longing for revenge, and the frustration of revenge produces sadness. Sadness is the maw of a lion and readily devours one afflicted by it. Sadness is a worm in the heart, and consumes the mother who gives it birth.reading wikipedia is weird mang. Also killing Gief is fun. Somebody needs to make a flash game of just beasting on Gief over and over. in other news. FINALLY FOUND THIS STUPID SONG THOUGH. Heard is when friend was playing Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2 on his PSP. Good stuff. still no job, market sucks bad right now. Current Music: BACK-ON - flyaway [TALES OF] Remix |

1. Fuck gmail. Way to not let me access any of my ship and randomly kill my passwords. Thanks. 2. Best episode of House in forever. Wow. Just wow. 3. Like a boss. Definitely putting bombing the russians and crashing into the sun on my things to do list. |

Nevermind on last post. Turns out when Dad and I installed the brakes, one of the wires was upside down and it was pulling the caliber away from the wheel. Hence no pressure to the brake system. They fixed it and changed my oil for 26 bucks. GOOD TIMES! Current Music: Blazblue OST |

the joy of schooling
If you are sitting behind me, DO NOT TALK FOR TWO HOURS DURING A THREE H OUR CLASS. Holy fuck, this isn't high school, we're paying money to be here. And please stop with the look of shock when I turned around to tell you to kindly shut the fuck up. At least you didn't go back to chatterboxing the minute after I turned back around. So thanks for that I guess. ;( p.s. had a pretty sick Cammy skletched for me this weekend by a local artist, Mark Hyzer. Guy is awesome and his GF is super nice. It's not a 'complete' sketch, but originally it was just a quick sketch for me. Then it turned into him spending about an hour on it while we chatted, while other people came up to have him sign cards / do other small sketches was pretty funny. For those who are looking to kill 2 minutes, updated my art gallery: www.vegeta2711.deviantart.comReally need to get unlazy and take Kai up on his offer to make me a legit website. This next week perhaps. Best pic out of the bunch was probably either the Hikari or when i was free-sketching and did a 'real' girl. Current Music: Blazblue OST |

Had fun in LA; now back to grind
Was good times hanging out with people I haven't seen in forever and playing some Magic. Also did some match coverage (RIGHT HERE APRIL - http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/eventcoverage/gpla09/welcome) and that was good times and got me a little cash. Need a new job in mid Feburary, since I'll likely be laid off at that point. Open to suggestions or recommendations. Side-note, took math crap, let's see if I scored high enough to get into relevant classes or if I'm just going to be studying with Li for the next 2 months to relearn enough to rank high enough on the placement test to graduate without it. I am really tired of school and Ohlone's bullshit at this point, especially for stuff that has nothing to do with what I'm actually good at - writing and drawing/designing. |

New Years in a nutshell
New Year's Eve: Work from 12-5, drink a bit with buddies and get home around 8-9ish so I don't have to drive with all the drunks and cops out. Drink a bit with my dad and then watch Pinky and the Brain til I pass out. New Year's Day: Wake up, mess around, realize I am in fact sick. Go to work, unload horribly dusty truck which KILLS my sinuses (sinii?) and makes me miserable. Get some awesome 99 cent jack in the crack tacos and write this post. Was pretty good 2 days, though the last 5 hours of this one can go suck a big one. Hope everyone else had decent holidays. :D Current Music: CSI: Miami (YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA) |

Movie review super-happy-fun post! Taken: (Coming out in Theaters in 09 due to stupid delays by FOX, but the DVD version everywhere else has been out for months) Entire Story In Fewer Words Than Are In This Sentence: Former spy's daughter kidnapped, creates bloody swath of revenge. Actual Review: A solid action movie done by Luc Besson. Liam Neeson makes for a great badass character in his sheer professionalism despite looking around 50. The calm demeanor he seems to possess at all times puts most action heroes that aren't Bourne to shame. A few minor plot gaffes, but for the most part everything transitions from one point to another with the minimum amount of time and effort, which means it's a very well-cut 90 minutes. Favorite quote: I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. PUNISHER: WARZONE:Entire Story In Fewer Words Than Are In This Sentence: Vengeance has a name. And it is campy. Actual Review: Meh. Some really funny and legitimate action scenes which is hamstrung by the rest of the movie being god-awful and the acting being either wooden or completely over-the-top. I'd say rental at best. Better than the last Punisher movie, but not very good on the whole. Favorite quote: Let me ax you a question! Transpoter 3: Entire Story In Fewer Words Than Are In This Sentence: Wheelman is betrayed yet again and fights everyone topless Actual Review: Solid action movie with a correct amount of over-the-topness. Unlike Punisher, you like the main character and the villians are just their usual cardboard cut-out, cannon fodder selves instead of sideshow rejects. The action sequences are top-notch and we actually get to see some driving in this movie! Amazing! Pretty good, better than 2, worse than the first. Favorite Quote: Do I look like a man who came half-way across Europe to die on a bridge? Slumdog Millionaire: (Screener version leaked) Entire Story In Fewer Words Than Are In This Sentence: Bollywood love story told through game show Actual Review: No really, that's the story. Who wants to be a millionaire inidian edition meets poor kid who through a series of non-linear flashbacks answers how he knew the answers to the questions on the show; in his attempt to impress a girl. Yes, there is dancing. Despite this drawback, the rest of the film is very well-done. Great acting, a lot of humor (some a bit dark) and this is really just a good movie and not a 'good bollywood' movie as some critics had panned it as. Favorite Quote: Meh. Can't pick one. Watch the movie. ;) Seven Pounds: Entire Story In Fewer Words Than Are In This Sentence: Will Smith cries like a pussy for two hours Actual Review: Almost anything I say about the movie will probably spoil something, because this is one of those 'everything ties together at the end in some ridiculous fashion'. So I'll spoil the first 3 minutes for those who want some idea of what the movie is about. Will Smith is an IRS agent who wants to commit suicide to make up for mistakes he's made in his life. Before he dies, he wants to help a bunch of strangers using his unique position. Will Smith does a good job acting, the material he has to work with though is just awful. Hated the movie. Still Alive
Got to play Mirror's Edge for a bit. I'm torn on it, I really loved the game when it worked, but then other parts just felt really awkward and crappy. Something tells me if I pick a system and the game up for myself, my favorite part will just be the time trials and the DL-content time trial runs. I agree with yathzee on the brightness thing, but disagree with some of the other complaints. That said, they made some pretty cool remixes of the theme song, which was a pretty good song itself. Now two songs I really enjoyed are 'Still Alive'. Here's a link to them: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0KFM6965 Current Music: Lisa Miskovsky - Still Alive (Teddybears Mix) |

Today is a good day.
I feel really happy to be part of the process and a citizen of this country right now. Hope everyone else does too. Even if you wanted McCain to win, surely people can appreciate the significance of this moment. My dad was just telling me about how he wasn't sure he would get to see a black man take office within his generation and that it really marks a turning point. Hope it inspires some people. SF4 post for John
Yep Sakura is CONFIRMED for console releases. http://img164.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=46355_sf4_122_687lo.jpgFrom what we've figured out so far, has the ground fireball and most of her moves from CvS2. Her Ultra looks like the Ground Tatsumaki Super (Haru Ichiban) and her super looks like a variant (kick maybe?) of the Shor, shor, shor, shorYUKEN from every game she's been in ever. Still I bet they'll end up putting in majority of peeps from the character poll into SF4 at this point. |

Oh yeah, so Macross Frontier (anime post, obvobvobv)
My bad, Masterpiece Frontier was what I was looking for. Just a reminder that the show was insane and the action was the best mecha-porn I've seen in a long time. Do yourself a favor and watch it. As for the OST's, would listen too again, A. Current Music: Macross Finale Medley - Ranka vs. Sheryl |
